Dr Nagda was the senior author on a paper where he developed a more anatomic technique for ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction of the elbow. The paper was selected to be presented at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine Specialty Day Meeting as well as the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Specialty Day Meeting in Chicago. The technique changes the ulnar footprint of the reconstruction making it more in line with the native ligament. There are several key benefits to this modification. The study showed that the new technique was equally strong compared to currently used techniques. The paper was well received at the meetings and will soon be published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine.
