Dr. Nagda has published papers in many Orthopaedic journals and has given presentations at numerous national meetings. In 2005, he received the Neer Award from the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. This prestigious award is given annually to the best research paper in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery. Dr. Nagda also received an award from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for the best shoulder and elbow poster presentation at the 2005 Annual Meeting.

He has also been given awards from the Eastern Orthopaedic Society and the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society for his research. Dr. Nagda has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Journal and currently is a reviewer of prospective research papers for Arthroscopy, the Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery

During his residency, Dr Nagda was selected by the department of orthopaedic surgery to serve as the academic chief resident. At the conclusion of his residency he was give the DeForest Willard Award for most outstanding senior orthopaedic resident.
